Project Engineer - Responsible for maintenance and engineering in the "hot end" of a plate glass manufacturing facility. The "hot end" consists of the furnace, batch house, tin bath, and annealing lehr. Engineering projects included the modification of old equipment and the design, testing, and installation of new equipment. Scope of design work ranged from simple mechanical elements to complex systems. Also responsible for plant compliance with federal, state, and county toxic waste, air, and water pollution control regulations.
